Shabbat and holiday guard

Stop ads before Shabbat and holidays and resume on time: a dated schedule in account time, no conflicting rules, and a spend cap on reopening.

For many businesses in Israel, advertising on Shabbat and holidays isn't an option. Fixed schedule hours drift with daylight saving time, holidays move each year, and a campaign paused by hand is easy to forget. This playbook sets up quiet windows so ads stop before Shabbat or a holiday and come back after it ends, every week.

Steps

  1. Turn on quiet windows

Choose the mode: Shabbat only, or Shabbat and holidays.
  2. Choose the location

Whose candle-lighting and havdalah times apply, and the margins before and after.
  3. Choose the campaigns

Only campaigns you select are included.
  4. Approve the generated Google schedule

Times are calculated by date for your location and converted to the ad account's time zone.
  5. Disable conflicting rules

Google Ads automated rules that pause or enable the same campaigns can fight the quiet window.
  6. Set an opening cap

Limit how fast budget can be spent right after the window ends, so a backlog doesn't burn the day's budget in an hour.

Who does what

Taseli automates

  • Calculating dated windows from Hebcal 90 days ahead, including daylight saving time.
  • Pausing before holidays and resuming afterwards, only for what Taseli itself paused.
  • Holding the resume for your review if someone paused a campaign manually during the window.
  • Excluding quiet-window hours from the end-of-month budget forecast.
