Initial account cleanup

The first-week cleanup for a Google Ads account: audit, search-term waste, negatives, idle keywords, weak assets and targeting settings.

The cleanup an experienced PPC manager does in the first week with a new account, aimed at where small accounts most often lose money. The result is a grouped list of proposals, each with its potential savings labeled as an estimate.

Steps

  1. Run the audit

Every check is scored in shekels, so the list starts with what costs the most.
  2. Review search-term waste

Terms with spend and no conversions, sorted by shekels, each with a relevance label.
  3. Add negatives

Irrelevant terms, job seekers and do-it-yourselfers become negative proposals. Hebrew negatives include prefix forms, and each shows what it would have blocked in the last 90 days.
  4. Find keywords with no impressions

Long-idle keywords add clutter and hide real problems. Pause or restructure them.
  5. Flag weak assets

Headlines and descriptions that consistently underperform within their ad group.
  6. Check targeting settings

Location options (presence vs. interest), languages, networks and ad schedule.

Who does what

Taseli automates

  • Running every check and pulling 90 days of search terms.
  • Classifying terms and drafting negatives in Hebrew and English.
  • Simulating each negative against past conversions before you see it.
  • Grouping proposals with an estimated total.
  • Monitoring each approved change and restoring supported settings if the outcome crosses a threshold. Restoring never recovers money already spent.
